SAUSAGE AND CHICKEN GUMBO

 PRINT RECIPE

I don't make gumbo very often, but every time I do make this gumbo, I kick myself for not making it every winter here in NC. The browned flour really enhances this dish. It gives it not just a "nutty" flavor, but sometimes I think there is coconut milk in it. Over the years, I've been opting out of spraying my pots with non-stick spray. It's so much more delish cooking in oil.
